The highlight
in your training
For several years now, the dalli group has been offering its trainees the opportunity to complete an internship abroad during and up to one year after their training. This is supported by the EU-funded Erasmus+ programme. This year, Timo Froesch was at our Dutch plant in Heerde and was able to get a taste of the HR department. Marc Juchem travelled to the Danish biotechnology company Novonesis in Copenhagen to work in the laboratory.

“Through Erasmus+, I was able to do a two-week internship in the HR department at our plant in Heerde. During this time, I was supervised by Devy Meiberg, Jojanneke IIbrink-Kers and Natascha Doornebesch. On my first day, I was given a tour of the production facility in Heerde. During the two weeks, I was also taken to an audit, was allowed to attend staff meetings and drew up proposals for the “Vitaliteitsweek 2024″. During my A-levels, I chose Dutch as my second foreign language. The Erasmus+ stay gave me the opportunity to put what I had learnt into practice. Despite the relatively short time of two weeks, I noticed a significant improvement in my Dutch language skills. The whole team was welcoming and integrated me well into the team during my stay. I would like to thank them for the opportunity to do the internship. If any of the trainees are thinking about doing a placement like this, I would advise them to take advantage of this great added value.”

“Through the ERASMUS+ programme, I spent three weeks in Copenhagen, Denmark, at Novonesis, one of our raw materials suppliers. The stay abroad was organised by Novonesis on the basis of several previous positive ERASMUS+ experiences. I particularly liked the openness and mentality of the Danes, who made me feel very welcome right from the start. I was able to get to know other ways of working and people from all over the world and improve my English in my daily interactions. In the laboratory, I was able to benefit from the experience of the people involved in the realisation of my project. In addition to the interesting work in the lab, Copenhagen also had a lot to offer in my free time. From the classic museum visit to one or two sights, everything was included. With a view of the harbour, I had the opportunity to try different dishes from all over the world at the countless food stalls. Finally, I would like to thank my instructors, without whom this trip would not have been possible. My insider tip for Copenhagen in summer: a dip in the cool water in the evening is highly recommended; there are several official harbour baths available for this.”
